Peya Mowar

I am a first year MS in Robotics student at the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University. I am a part of the Accessibility at CMU group, co-advised by Prof. Jeff Bigham and Prof. Aaron Steinfeld.

Previously, I was a research fellow at Microsoft Research India (MSRI), where I worked in Technology and Empowerment with Dr. Saikat Guha and Dr. Mohit Jain. I built document segmentation systems for making long-form documents, such as newspapers, accessible to people with print impairment.

I have also been fortunate to work with Prof. Khurshid Ahmad at Trinity College Dublin. I graduated with distinct honors from Delhi Technological University, India where my bachelor's thesis was advised by Prof. Dinesh Kumar Vishwakarma.

My research interest lies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction.
